Based in Orange County, CA, The Crush was born in the Fall of 2006 when four friends from The Westminster Chorus decided to form a quartet that would represent The Westminster Chorus and The Masters of Harmony in Far Western District competitions as well as at the International level.  In July 2007, The Crush made its first quartet appearance on the international stage in Denver, CO, where they placed 21st in the BHS Quartet Contest. Later that week, the quartet earned a Silver Medal in the Collegiate Barbershop Quartet Contest.

In fall of 2007, the quartet attended its first Far Western District Quartet Competition and finished 3rd, and in fall of 2008, they took the 2nd place spot. Known for their bright harmonies and youthful energy, The Crush is climbing the ranks of the FWD, hoping to become a household name with barbershop and a cappella fans and audiences all over the country. Music performed by the group consists of arrangements and songs influenced by the Big Band Era of 20's, 30's and 40's. So sit back, relax, and enjoy the jazzy feel and swingin' sound of The Crush!

The Crush is (from left to right above) Matt Gray, Tenor; Patrick Haedtler, Lead; Paul Tabone, Bass and John Brockman, Baritone.

The Crush is a young, energetic barbershop quartet from the Far Western District of the Barbershop Harmony Society.
